Died in hospital on 9 September 2025, aged 89 years.

Devoted Husband of Doreen for 62 years. Deeply loved by his Son Matthew, Daughter Jessica, and Jessica's partner, Patrick. A loving Brother to Margaret, a dear Uncle and friend to many.

Well-known and respected for his long career in housing.

Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at Ponteland Methodist Church on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at 1:30pm followed by cremation at Northumberland Crematorium, Bockenfield.

Floral tributes welcome or donations in memory of Alan can be made to Azure Charitable Foundation and Alzheimer's Research via a collection in Church.

Alan was my Chief Executive at Home Housing where I worked for 5 years. He was approachable, encouraging and supportive and basically showed what good people management was all about. His impact on social housing was significant. Whenever we met briefly over the years he always was genuinely interested in how I and others who worked with him were progressing. A truly great leader. A statesman in the world of housing. R.I.P. Alan. Graham Brown
